Baseball!

I'm still so excited about this! Last night we went to a diamondbacks game and found out that you can get a free ticket by showing a military ID. Well, I still have mine, so I showed it to the lady and she gave us 2 free tickets! I guess Helaman looks military or something...So as we were walking through security an older gentleman walked past us and gave us his tickets. For the 3rd ROW!! So we used our military tickets and you better believe we walked right down to the 3rd row and used his seats (The tickets he gave us were $120 each)!! Now let me back up. I've been an Atlanta Braves fan since I was probably 13. I would watch every game that was shown on TV, I could tell you the player stats, I was pretty much obsessed.

I idolized Chipper Jones, and wished so badly that I could play like him. So since then my dream has been to see a Braves game. Even though the roster has completely changed, and I don't really know the players anymore, I still needed to go to a Braves game. I went online last week and found the Braves were playing here and lost it. My dream was coming true. Then I get to sit on the 3rd row, less than 60 feet from Chipper Jones while he's playing 3rd base?!?!! FOR FREE?!?!!!Let me tell you, I was ECSTATIC!! So we enjoyed the game, and Benson even made it onto the big screen...Totally cool, the camera found him while he was dancing on Helaman's shoulders, then he found himself on the center field screen and stopped and pointed. ADORABLE. On the metro on the way home, a lady saw him and was like, "Hey, you're the kid who found himself on the big screen, huh? You're pretty cute!" Very cool. So, the only thing that would have made it better is if the Braves had won and I would have got the fly ball that the kid sitting in front of us got...Oh well, it was great, and I'll be crossing that off my bucket list!
